Premilcurensis Tibpromma, Camporesi & K.D. Hyde, gen. nov.

Saprobic on plant stems. Sexual morph: Ascostromata superficial, semi-immersed at the base, globose to subglobose, solitary or in small groups, dark brown to black, ostiole central, with minute papilla. Peridium thick-walled, multilayered, surface heavily pigmented, with obviously light brown cells. Hamathecium comprising numerous, long cylindrical, cellular, branched, hyaline pseudoparaphyses. Asci 8-spored, bitunicate, fissitunicate, cylindrical to cylindric-clavate, short pedicellate to sessile, with a well developed ocular chamber. Ascospores overlapping uni- to bi-seriate, initially hyaline, becoming yellow-green to yellow-brown at maturity, cylindrical to elongated fusiform, with rounded ends, usually 3–5-septate, with wing-like appendages. Asexual morph: Undetermined.
