Etymology: Refers to the host genus Calamus.
Holotype: MFLU 15-0280.
Saprobic on dead of Calamus sp. Sexual morph: Ascomata superficial, visible as numerous, raised, visible as black dome-shaped on host surface, solitary to gregarious, coriaceous. Ascomata (57–)80–165(–225) × 110–195(–340) μm (x̅ = 97 × 165 µm, n = 20), subglobose to lenticular or quadrilateral to dome-shaped, clustered, black, ostiolate. Peridium 20–87 μm wide (x̅ = 36 µm, n = 20), thick-walled, hyaline to dark brown, composed of several l ayers of cells of textura angularis to prismatica. Pseudoparaphyses 1.45–4.37 μm wide (x̅ = 2.35 µm, n = 20), hyaline, numerous, filiform, trabeculate pseudoparaphyses. Asci 65–105 × 18–30 µm (x̅ = 84 × 24 µm, n = 30), 6–8-spored, bitunicate, broadly clavate, apically rounded with an ocular chamber, short pedicellate. Ascospores 30–38 × 7–12 µm (x̅ = 35 × 10 µm, n = 30), 2–3-seriate, fusiform, 3-septate, hyaline, constricted at the septum, enlarged at the second cell, surrounded by thin mucilaginous sheath. Asexual morph: Undetermined.
