Isolated from marble stone or ornamental limestone. Sexual morph: Undetermined. Asexual morph: Colonies growing slowly, cauliflower-shaped, dark brown, velvety with irregularly lobate margin in obverse, black in reverse. Hyphae branched, pale brown, composed of simple to multi-septate, catenate cells produced by enteroblastic proliferation. Globose cells frequently produced intercalarly, terminarly or laterally, 1-multicellular, sometimes with endoconidia.
