Type speciesHyponectria buxi (Alb. & Schwein.) Sacc.

NotesHyponectria was revised and described in Maharachchikumbura et al.  (2016b). Hyponectria has solitary or mostly gregarious, immersed ascomata with a central ostiole, visible as orange to brown dots on the host surface, cylindric-clavate to clavate, short pedicellate asci with a J-, apical ring and hyaline, ellipsoidal or oblong, aseptate ascospores, without a mucilaginous sheath (Maharachchikumbura et al. 2016b).
