NotesFrondicola tunitricuspis, illustrated in this entry, was found on decaying fronds of Nypa fruticans (Arecaceae). Frondicola has solitary ascomata, visible as dark, raised, circular spots with central ostiolar dots, immersed under a clypeus, cylindrical asci with J-, apical ring and hyaline, unicellular, ellipsoidal ascospores with a mucilaginous sheath (Hyde 1992a).
