Type species – Pseudomassariella vexata (Sacc.) Petr.

Notes – Petrak (1955b) erected Pseudomassariella as closely related to Pseudomassaria with the type P. vexata. Müller & von Arx (1962) transferred the species to Leiosphaerella. Jaklitsch et al. (2016b) provided taxonomic and phylogenetic revisions and provisionally accepted the genus in Pseudomassariaceae.
