Conidiogenous cells terminal, hyaline, smooth, often polyblastic, sympodial; conidiogenous loci (scars) fairly conspicuous, broad, flat or slightly convex, unthickened or slightly thickened throughout, but hyaline. Conidia solitary, hyaline, smooth, euseptate, pluriseptate, scolecosporous, rostrate, obclavate-acicular, often curved, abruptly attenuated towards the apex, the broader cells sometimes with constrictions at the septa, apex more or less pointed, base broad truncated to short obconically truncated, hila conspicuous, thickened, somewhat darkened and refractive, with a conspicuous raised rim.
