Etymology. Name refers to a morphological similarity with the genus Acrodontiella.

Mycelium consisting of branched, septate, hyaline, smooth hyphae. Conidiophores aggregated in sporodochia, arising from a hyaline stroma, subcylindrical, smooth, branched, multiseptate. Conidiogenous cells terminal and intercalary, subcylindrical, irregularly curved, rarely straight, with apical taper and pimple-like loci, not to slightly thickened. Conidia solitary, hyaline, smooth-walled, guttulate, fusoid, straight, aseptate, apex subacute, base truncate, not to slightly thickened.
