Type species: Lembosina aulographoides (E. Bommer et al.) Theiss.

Notes: Lembosina was placed in Leptopeltidaceae and Asterinaceae by von Arx and Müller (1975) and Hawks- worth et al. (1995), respectively. Hyde et al. (2013) placed this genus in Aulographaceae. However, Crous et al. (2019b) indicated that Lembosina based on L. aulographoides, does not belong to any of these families and should be placed in its own family and order.
