Notes: Hyalomeliolina is a single genus in Hyalome- liolinaceae, and it was established by Stevens (1923) based on morphology. The genus is characterized by a life mode as parasites on living leaves, forming black colonies on leaf surfaces, ascomata covered by dense hyphae and ellipsoid-fusiform, 1–3-septate, light to dark pigmented ascospores. The genus comprises Hyalomeliolina guianensis and H. linderi, while H. costaricensis were transferred to Nematostoma by Hansford (1946).
