Habitat and geographical distribution: Saprobe on decaying bark and wood of Betula sp., known only in North America in the USA (North Carolina, Texas) [3].

Although the ascospores were described as aseptate with numerous guttules, it is likely that the septa were obscured by the droplets as is often the case with similar ascospores in Paragaeumannomyces [20].
