Saprobic on submerged, decaying wood in freshwater habitats. Sexual morph: Undetermined. Asexual morph: Colonies on the substratum superficial, effuse, scattered, gregarious, hairy, brown to dark brown. Mycelium mostly immersed, composed of branched, septate, brown to dark brown, smooth hyphae. Conidiogenous cells 6–8.5 × 5.5–7.5 μm ( = 7.3 × 6.7 μm, n = 25), holoblastic, monoblastic, integrated, determinate, terminal, cylindrical, brown to dark brown. Conidia 136.5–278 × 8.5–11 μm ( = 207 × 9.5 μm, n = 25), acrogenous, solitary, dry, cylindrical to elongated, straight or slightly curved, truncated at the base, rounded at the apex, 20–65-distoseptate, smooth, greenish-brown to dark brown, hyaline at the apex, smooth, thick-walled.
