Colonies on PDA reaching 3·6 cm after 7 d in dark at 25C; bright white at 7 d maturity and pale to dark grayish buff at 14 to 21 d maturity; reverse pigmented pale to dark grayish buff; colonies on CMA reaching 3·7 cm after 7 d in dark at 25C. Mycelium consisting of septate, branched, smooth, hyaline to brown 2.5–3.8 μm wide hyphae. Conidiophores differentiated, verticillate. Conidiogenous cells phialidic, intercalary or terminal, grouped or solitary, cylindrical, lageniform, curved or straight, hyaline to pale brown, 4·5–22·5 × 1·0–2·5 μm, cylindrical to funnel-shaped collarette 1·0–2·5 μm wide. Conidia fusiform, lunate, or allantoid, hyaline, 8·5–15 × 1·0–2·0 μm. Hyphae forming hyaline to brown stigmatopods, 5·0–11·5 × 5·0–7·5 μm, giving rise to brown to olivaceous brown, mitten-shaped hyphopodia 10·0–15 × 7·5–12·5 μm.
