Etymology

Holotype: XXXX

Saprbic on dead stems of Chromonaela odorata (L.) RM King & H. Rob (Asteraceae). Sexual morph Undetermined. Asexual morph Conidiomata (–280)300–350 × 370–450(500–) µm (x̄= 300.1 × 415.4 µm, n=5), solitary, immersed to semiimmersed with 23 locules, globose to subglobose, black. Ostiole absent. Peridium 4550 (60) µm wide, multilayered, comprised of dark brown cells of Textura angularis. Hamanthecium 35 µm wide, numerous, hyaline, aseptate, paraphyses. Conidiophores reduced to conidiogenous cells. Conidiogenous cells 12 µm wide, holoblastic, cylindrical, hyaline. Conidia 1520 × 510 µm (x̄= 17.23 × 6.9 µm, n=15), aseptate, roughwalled, granular appearance, hyaline to dark brown, ellipsoidal, without appendages.

Culture characteristics: Conidia germinating on PDA within 24 hr, reaching 85 mm after 7 days at room temperature, concentric, flat, irregular, rough surface, greenishgrey.

Material examined: THAILAND, Chaing Rai Province, Doi Pui, on the dead stems of Chromonaela odorata (L.) RM King & H. Rob (Asteraceae), 10 July 2020, Zin Hnin Htet (holotype ——)
