MycoBank number: MB 1251; Index Fungorum number: IF 1251; Facesoffungi number: FoF 13161; 27 morphological species (Species Fungorum 2020), 16 species with sequence data.

Type speciesCorollospora maritima Werderm.

NotesCorollospora cinnamomea was introduced by Koch (1986) and differs from other species of the genus by brown rugose 1-septate ascospores and specialized pseudoparenchyma in the ostiolar canal. The peridium is thin and consists only of two (rarely three) cell layers in contrast to the other Corollospora spp. that have three or more layers (Nakagiri & Tubaki 1986). Sequence data available for this species and its phylogenetic placement within Halosphaeriaceae is confirmed (Jones et al. 2017).
