Trichoderma is the type of Hypocreaceae and the family consists of 378 known species (Hyde et al. 2020a). Trichoderma species were the most popular in terms of their rapid cultivation in ubiquitous environments such as rotting plant materials, animals and microbes (Jaklitsch & Voglmayr 2015, Talavera-Ortiz et al. 2020). The phylogenetic analyses showed that many species form a hypocrea-shared sister relationship with Trichoderma and, therefore, were synonymized and validated the Trichoderma (Chaverri & Samuels 2003, Jaklitsch & Voglmayr 2015).
