Habitat and geographical distribution – Saprobe on submerged wood, known only in China [15].

Phialoturbella lunata has conidiophores 71–103 × 6–8 µm arising in groups from dark stromatic cells, terminating into a monophialide and fusiform, curved conidia 16–19 × 4.5–5.5 µm [15]. It resembles Ph. aseptata but differs in having conidiophores with a stromatic base and shorter and wider conidia.
