Type species – Neospadicoides lignicola Z.L. Luo, K.D. Hyde & H.Y. Su

Notes – Neospadicoides was introduced by Luo et al. (2019) to accommodate N. aquatica, N. lignicola and N. yunnanensis based on morphology and phylogeny. All Neospadicoides species are reported from freshwater habitats in Yunnan Province, China. The genus is characterized by macronematous, mononematous, unbranched, cylindrical, brown, septate conidiophores, polytretic, terminal conidiogenous cells, and fusiform or obovoid, septate conidia (Luo et al. 2019). The sexual morph of this genus is undetermined.
