Type species – Meliola nidulans (Schwein.) Cooke
Notes – Meliola is the largest genus in Meliolaceae, which comprises more than 70% of species in the family. Members of this genus typically have hyphal setae and globose ascomata. Meliola telosmae is illustrated in this entry (Fig. 162). Meliola telosmae differs from M. clerodendricola in having longer appressoria and setae and thinner, light-brown ascospores. Therefore, we assign this new collection as a reference specimen of M. telosmae with the sequence data provided.
