Notes – Hymenagaricus is a small genus of Agaricaceae with 16 validly described species (Index Fungorum Partnership 2024). The saprotrophic genus has a paleotropical distribution and is characterized by small- to medium-sized basidiomata with a squamulose pileus, yellowish brown to brown basidiospores, and absence of pleurocystidia and clamp connections (Heinemann 1981; Heinemann and Little Flower 1984; Reid and Eicker 1998; Kirk et al. 2008; He et al. 2019).
