Notes – Hygrocybe is distributed worldwide and characterized by brilliant colours of basidiomata with waxy, widely-spaced lamellae; absence of veil remnants on stipe; white, smooth, inamyloid basidiospores; presence of clampconnections; lack of true pleurocystidia and wide, regular to subregular or parallel lamellar trama (Boertmann 1995; Babos et al. 2011; Lodge et al. 2014; Hosen et al. 2016; Singh et al. 2017).
