Etymology: Name refers to the fact that it is morphologically similar to Septoria.
Conidiomata pycnidial, erumpent to semi-superficial, dark brown, globose, with central ostiole; wall in upper region of brown textura angularis, in lower region of pale brown cells, concolourous with host tissue. Conidiophores reduced to conidiogenous cells, ampulliform to subcylindrical, smooth, proliferating sympodially at apex. Conidia solitary, hyaline, smooth, guttulate, subcylindrical, apex subobtuse, base truncate, transversely 1–7-septate.
