NotesBuergenerula biseptata (≡ Metasphaeria biseptata) was found on Caricis vesicaria in Norway. The genus is characterized by cylindrical to subfusiform asci, and clavate, hyaline ascospores with 3–4-septa. The asexual morph has not been reported.
