Notes: The genus was introduced to accommodate B. amazonensis and the type species B. glabra. Boonmee et al. (2017) re-examined the type specimen of B. glabra, but it was not in good condition. However, they used descriptions and illustrations from Sivanesan (1981) to place this Bal- ladynocallia in Balladynaceae.
