Type species: Andina citrinoides Wilk & Lücking.
Diagnosis: Thallus areolate, sorediate, yellow to yellow orange. Apothecia not observed. Cryptic taxon similar to phylogenetically separate Flavoplaca.
Etymology: The generic name is derived from the name of the Andes Mountains where the type species was found.
Distribution: Andina is known from Bolivia and Chile, the latter representing a yet undescribed species.
