Rhodocybe Maire

The genus Rhodocybe is characterised by pink, vinaceous white or grey spore print and inamyloid, cyanophilic basidiospores that are angular in polar view and with an undulate-pustulate ornamentation (Baroni 1981; Singer 1986). Based on a molecular phylogenetic study, Kluting et al. (2014) split Rhodocybe sensu lato into four genera,
namely Rhodocybe, Clitopilopsis, Rhodophana and Clitocella. The amended Rhodocybe now incorporates only clampless species (Kluting et al. 2014).
